On the 13th of July, Ukrainian-American volunteer project, UA50 has begun to accept applications from Ukrainian start-ups interested in entering the US market.

UA50 is a non-profit community of successful Ukrainian businessmen organized in the United States for the support of Ukrainian start-ups interested in global growth. UA50 is going to help start-ups in the choosing of an accelerator, establishing international contacts, searching for investment and utilizing access to the global market. All consultations from UA50 are free.

The founders of UA50 are Eveline Buchatskiy, Director at Techstars Boston, the golden standard for tech start-up acceleration; Andrey Akselrod, Founder of Smartling; Oleg Rogynskyy, Founder of Semantria; Yevgen Sysoyev, Managing Partner of Venture Fund AVentures Capital; Viktoriya Tigipko, Director of Venture Fund TA Ventures; Eugene Vyborov, Founder of WebiNerds Inc; Yaroslav Azhnyuk, Co-founder of Petcube; Vlad Voskresensky, Co-founder of InvisibleCRM; Steven Kuyan, Managing Director of Incubators and Entrepreneurship at the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering; Nick Bilogorskiy, Co-founder of Cyphort and other businessmen.

Mentors will provide services for start-ups separated into two main groups:

1) Entering the global market,

2) Start-ups at pre-seed stage.

There are specific criteria for each group. Start-ups expanding globally must fit the following criteria: possess a complete team, launched a product that already demonstrates market traction (at least in its initial market), a validated business model, and incorporated in Ukraine or abroad. A mentor of UA50 community will help selected start-ups to promote their product to the US market, establish the necessary contacts and find a suitable investor.

Criteria for start-ups seeking pre-seed support and mentorship from an accelerator: possess a complete team, product prototype is implemented, scalable idea, fluent English skills of the core team, and clear and available business plan.

In addition, mentors of UA50 will give free consultation for start-ups exploring options outside of Ukraine that don’t fit any of the selected category.
